Reynaldo Palomo vs Javier Velez

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Chile-Santiago promoted show at Maipu Terronez, Maipu,  taking place on 13/02/2026:

Clearly AI Chile-Santiago have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Chile-Santiago Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on UCV, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Reynaldo Palomo (11 - 4 - 2) who hails from Puente Alto, Chile and Javier Velez(11 - 2) from Maipu, Chile.  Palomo weighed in at 160 pounds, while Velez weighed in at 159 pounds And 12 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Alejandro Cossio, and the three ringside judges are Santiago Burgos, Luis Arquilla and Ovidio Barco.  

Round 1:
