Jaak Van Ghendt vs Martien Caneel

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Belgium-Flanders promoted show at Daaf Aernouds Gym, Antwerp,  taking place on 15/03/2026:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Belgium-Flanders Light Heavyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Jaak Van Ghendt (7 - 4 - 1) who hails from Ghent, Belgium and Martien Caneel(7 - 6) from Antwerp, Belgium.  Van Ghendt weighed in at 175 pounds, while Caneel weighed in at 174 pounds and 7 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Justus Van de Zande, and the three ringside judges are Gerben Letins, Polle Van den Broucke and Lexis Camerman.
