Zacarias Cura vs Hiro Makino

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Japan-Osaka promoted show at Sakai City Culture Center Hall, Sakai,  taking place on 15/03/2026:

Clearly AI Japan-Osaka have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Zacarias Cura (12 - 2) who hails from Quezon City, Philippines and Hiro Makino(14 - 1) from Asahikawa, Japan.  Both Cura and Makino weighed in at 118 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Yoshi Nakano, and the three ringside judges are Satoru Muraoka, Michi Yokoyama and Hikaru Mayeda.  

Round 1: 

Cura gets on the inside.  Makino pivots to the left of his opponent.  Makino goes for the bodyshot, but lands south of the border!  The ref stops the action and gives Cura time to recover.
