Michi Sakamoto vs Aki Takenaka

Boxing Daily Report from the Gold Coast Promotions promoted show at Tokyo Metropolitan Gymnasium, Tokyo,  taking place on 21/03/2026:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  On the line tonight is the East Asian Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Michi Sakamoto (14 - 3) who hails from Tokyo, Japan and Aki Takenaka(14 - 5 - 1) from Kobe, Japan.  Both Sakamoto and Takenaka weighed in at 126 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Taro Sunada, and the three ringside judges are Kaede Tsuchida, Satoshi Fuse and Fumio Nakazawa.  

Round 1:
