Javier Leon vs Paco Montes

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Chile-Valparaiso promoted show at Viba del Mar Pedrosa, Viba del Mar,  taking place on 16/03/2026:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Chile Super Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on UCV, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Javier Leon (14(4) - 6(2)) who hails from La Florida, Chile and Paco Montes(7 - 11(1) - 2) from Valparaiso, Chile.  Both Leon and Montes weighed in at 115 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Pablo Cruz, and the three ringside judges are Reyes Cerna, Malvolio Chica and Roman Castilla.

Frustration is starting to boil over for Montes now.   He turns Leon and throws an uppercut into his opponents groin area!  The ref halts the action and sends Leon to the neutral corner.    He tells Montes to clean up his game.  The ref's patience seems to be wearing thin.  
Leon tries to keep the action at long range and lands a cross followed by a overhand right to his opponents head, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Montes almost instantly gets his legs back.

Montes is looking to keep his distance.  Leon EXPLODES a nasty overhand right into his opponents face.  IT LOOKS LIKE MONTES WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  
Leon is looking for the shot to finish his opponent.  Leon lands a right uppercut, right hook and a left hook to his opponents head, AND MONTES IS KNOCKED DOWN!  He manages to get up at 4.
