Malik Anwar vs Amer Ansari

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Egypt-Cairo promoted show at Cairo Halim, Cairo,  taking place on 16/02/2026:

Clearly AI Egypt-Cairo have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Egypt Super Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Modern Sport, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Malik Anwar (6 - 6 - 4) who hails from Cairo, Egypt and Amer Ansari(7 - 9(1) - 2) from Cairo, Egypt.  Both Anwar and Ansari weighed in at 154 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Gazi Abdel-Khaleq, and the three ringside judges are Shayan Abdelghany, Waqas Samy and Obaid Ayrout.
