Boxing Daily Report from the Gold Coast Promotions promoted show at Yoyogi National Gymnasium, Tokyo,  taking place on 04/04/2026:

Clearly Gold Coast Promotions have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a final eliminator for the East Asian Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on TV Tokyo, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Shinji Yokota (18 - 5 - 3) who hails from Nagoya, Japan and Daichi Tokunaga(19(4) - 0) from Sakai, Japan.  Both Yokota and Tokunaga weighed in at 126 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Isamu Okimoto, and the three ringside judges are Hajime Amari, Satoshi Fuse and Ichiro Tsukamoto.
