Sajid Alassel vs Saad Ayub

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Egypt-Alexandria promoted show at Alexandria Abdoo, Alexandria,  taking place on 19/03/2026:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Egypt Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Modern Sport, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Sajid Alassel (19 - 4) who hails from Alexandria, Egypt and Saad Ayub(11 - 11(1) - 3) from Cairo, Egypt.  Alassel weighed in at 146 pounds and 1 ounces, while Ayub weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Saad Nadift, and the three ringside judges are Amer Qazi, Bilal Saadauri and Kashif Zaghloul.  

Round 1: 

Alassel steps inside and lands a left uppercut to the head, a right uppercut to the head and a left uppercut to the body.  Alassel holds on to his opponent.  Ayub pushes his forearm into Alassel's face.  The referee warns Ayub and breaks the clinch.
