Antwan Mawere vs Shontae Methema

Boxing Daily Report from the Harare Boxing Club promoted show at Ian Kabweza Gym, Harare,  taking place on 22/02/2026:

Clearly Harare Boxing Club have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Zimbabwe Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Joy TV, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Antwan Mawere (8 - 6(1) - 1) who hails from Harare, Zimbabwe and Shontae Methema(8 - 9 - 3) from Bulawayo, Zimbabwe.  Both Mawere and Methema weighed in at 160 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Darryl Sibanda, and the three ringside judges are Peabo Chikwava, Rex Nyabusha and John Ngoma.
