Akira Matsumura vs Jun Kuba

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Japan-Hiroshima promoted show at Kure Hayashi, Kure,  taking place on 22/03/2026:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Japan-Hiroshima Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Sky-A Sports, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Akira Matsumura (11 - 0 - 1) who hails from Hiroshima, Japan and Jun Kuba(16 - 2) from Kure, Japan.  Both Matsumura and Kuba weighed in at 126 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Satoru Nishimoto, and the three ringside judges are Yuji Suda, Yuji Suda and Takeo Higashi.
