Mel Renwick vs Atif Jabara

Boxing Daily Report from the TFI promoted show at Shreyas Gym, Boston,  taking place on 06/03/2026:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Mel Renwick (2 - 0) who hails from Las Vegas, USA and Atif Jabara(2 - 1 - 1) from Dallas, USA.  Renwick weighed in at 199 pounds and 4 ounces, while Jabara weighed in at 200 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Hugh Hier, and the three ringside judges are Ian Noble, Richie MacIsaac and Peter Cooper.  

Round 1: 

Jabara closes the distance.  Renwick lands a right uppercut to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.  
Renwick hits home with a firm right hook.  
Renwick closes the distance.  Jabara sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Renwick lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Renwick drives a right hook into his opponents body.  
Jabara gets on the inside.  Renwick lands a right uppercut to the head followed by two left uppercut's to the body.  
Renwick throws a short cross to the body, but lands low!  The ref stops the action and gives Jabara time to recover.  
Renwick sidesteps to the right of his opponent and is on target with a left uppercut to Jabara's body.  
Renwick lands a right uppercut followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Renwick steps inside and lands a right uppercut to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Renwick lands a right hook to the body followed by a right uppercut to the head.  
Renwick steps inside and hits home with a solid right hook.  
Jabara is looking to close the distance.  Renwick lands a double right hook to his opponents head.
