John Cron vs Ian Sharper

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Jamaica-Kingston promoted show at Kingston Rice, Kingston,  taking place on 24/03/2026:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Jamaica Super Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on SportsMax, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are John Cron (12 - 4 - 4) who hails from Kingston, Jamaica and Ian Sharper(6 - 8 - 1) from Kingston, Jamaica.  Cron weighed in at 139 pounds And 6 ounces, while Sharper weighed in at 140 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Rob Nivison, and the three ringside judges are Bob Witherow, Rob Tedford and Chris Moir.  

Round 1: 

Cron steps inside and lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Cron is looking to close the distance.  Sharper throws a left hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Cron lands a cross.  
Sharper hits home with a cross.  
Cron lands a right uppercut followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.

Sharper hits home with a left hook.  
Cron gets on the inside and lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Sharper tries to keep the action at long range.  Cron is on target with an overhand right.  
Cron attempts to land an uppercut to the solar plexus, but he strays low!  The ref ignores Sharper's complaints and signals for the action to continue.  
Cron lands a cross.
