Peter Pherson vs Mick Maddex

Boxing Daily Report from the AI New Zealand-Wellington promoted show at Wellington Pentland, Wellington,  taking place on 27/03/2026:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the New Zealand Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Prime, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Peter Pherson (10 - 1) who hails from Wellington, New Zealand and Mick Maddex(14 - 7(3)) from Wellington, New Zealand.  Pherson weighed in at 146 pounds and 15 ounces, while Maddex weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Oliver Murray, and the three ringside judges are Jonathan Laurie, Alen Ritchey and Jonathan Laurie.
