Boxing Daily Report from the AI New Zealand-Canterbury promoted show at Christchurch Kareko, Christchurch,  taking place on 27/03/2026:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the New Zealand-Canterbury Super Bantamweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Paau Mahia (12 - 9 - 1) who hails from Christchurch, New Zealand and Joel Linsey(6 - 11 - 2) from Christchurch, New Zealand.  Mahia weighed in at 121 pounds and 13 ounces, while Linsey weighed in at 122 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Alen Nist, and the three ringside judges are Noel Haxton, Mike Muncie and Noel Haxton.
