Godfrey Oletu vs Gus Azutambata

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Nigeria-Borno State promoted show at Majid Saah Gym, Bama,  taking place on 27/03/2026:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Nigeria-Borno State Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Godfrey Oletu (12 - 2) who hails from Maiduguri, Nigeria and Gus Azutambata(11 - 4 - 2) from Bama, Nigeria.  Oletu weighed in at 146 pounds And 6 ounces, while Azutambata weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Sam Igbinadolor, and the three ringside judges are Cody Aderemi, Zain Faraj and Mohsin Kassem.  

Round 1: 

Oletu steps inside and hits home with a right hook.
