Ricardo Velarde vs Pablo Cordon

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Nicaragua-Managua promoted show at Isidro Preciado Gym, Managua,  taking place on 28/03/2026:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Nicaragua Super Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on ESTV, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Ricardo Velarde (6 - 3 - 1) who hails from Masaya, Nicaragua and Pablo Cordon(14 - 2) from Managua, Nicaragua.  Velarde weighed in at 153 pounds and 13 ounces, while Cordon weighed in at 154 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Ignado Siguenza, and the three ringside judges are Agapetus Olea, Antonio Quintero and Ignado Siguenza.  

Round 1:
