Wandisile Mabokgwane vs Owen Zokwana

Boxing Daily Report from the AI South Africa-Gauteng promoted show at Jackson Mkhize Gym, Soweto,  taking place on 28/02/2026:

Clearly AI South Africa-Gauteng have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the South Africa-Gauteng Bantamweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Wandisile Mabokgwane (4(1) - 0) who hails from Tembisa, South Africa and Owen Zokwana(9 - 8 - 3) from Soweto, South Africa.  Both Mabokgwane and Zokwana weighed in at 118 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Phumelele Mkhize, and the three ringside judges are John Cele, William Ekstein and Mahdi Jamin.  

Round 1: 

Mabokgwane pivots from in front of his opponent and digs in a left hook to his opponents body.
