Jax Tamayo vs Diego Escandon

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Spain-Basque Country promoted show at Vidal Checo Gym, Bilbao,  taking place on 28/02/2026:

Clearly AI Spain-Basque Country have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Spain-Basque Country Cruiserweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Jax Tamayo (13 - 5 - 2) who hails from Vitoria-Gasteiz, Spain and Diego Escandon(3 - 5(1) - 3) from Bilbao, Spain.  Both Tamayo and Escandon weighed in at 200 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Miguel Blancas, and the three ringside judges are Carlos Gallegos, Alejandro Campoverde and Montego Balles.
