Joaquin Ruis vs Salvador Escamilla

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Philippines-Misamis Oriental promoted show at Juan Palapal Gym, Cagayan de Oro,  taking place on 27/03/2026:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Philippines-Misamis Oriental Light Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Joaquin Ruis (11 - 8 - 4) who hails from Cagayan de Oro, Philippines and Salvador Escamilla(7 - 6 - 1) from Cagayan de Oro, Philippines.  Both Ruis and Escamilla weighed in at 108 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Tajo Lagasca, and the three ringside judges are Alano Pagilagan, Jonathan Makiling and Carlos Buitron.
