Merrill Olin vs Santiago Rosete

Boxing Daily Report from the Frank Smith’s Tea Boy Promotions promoted show at Royal Albert Hall, London,  taking place on 22/04/2026:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Eurosport UK, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Merrill Olin (28(17) - 1(1)) who hails from Saint-Denis, France and Santiago Rosete(14 - 8(3)) from Havana, Cuba.  Both Olin and Rosete weighed in at 160 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Eric McDermott, and the three ringside judges are Brendan Malone, William Drummond and Glynn Reddick.  

Round 1: 

Rosete steps to the outside and attempts to land a cross, but Olin parries the shot and counters with a stinging right uppercut to Rosete's body.  
Rosete lands a jab followed by a overhand left to his opponents head.  
Rosete advances into close range and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Rosete lands a cross followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.

Olin pivots from in front of his opponent and hits home with a hard jab.  
Olin pivots to the side of his opponent and lands a cross to the head followed by a jab to the body.  
Olin lands a spiteful jab.  
Rosete steps inside.  Olin tries to land a right hook, but Rosete slips the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Olin finds the target with a jab.  
Rosete steps inside.  Olin attempts to land a right hook, but Rosete blocks the shot and counters with a cross.  
Rosete steps inside.  Rosete pivots to the side of his opponent and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Rosete lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Olin lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Rosete gets on the inside.  Olin wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Rosete dabs at his face checking for damage.

Rosete is looking to keep his distance and lands a cross.

Rosete tries to land a left hook, but Olin sidesteps and counters with a sharp left hook.  
Olin attempts to land a left hook, but Rosete slips the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Rosete pivots from in front of his opponent and lands a left hook.

Rosete steps inside and throws a left hook, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a big right hook.  ROSETE IS HURT!  
Olin knows it could take just a few clean shots to force the stoppage.  Olin lands a right hook followed by  two left uppercuts to his opponents head, AND DOWN GOES ROSETE!  He manages to get up at 6.  It looks like Rosete has now recovered from that shot earlier.

Olin pivots to the side of his opponent and is on target with a VICIOUS left hook.  IT LOOKS LIKE ROSETE WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  Rosete recovers before his opponent can take advantage.

Rosete attempts to land a left uppercut, but Olin blocks the shot and counters with a right hook.

Rosete sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Rosete attempts to land a cross, but Olin slips the shot and counters with a potent right hook.  ROSETE WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  
Olin gets on the inside.  Olin thinks he can end the show early....he's looking to put Rosete away.  Olin lands a cross followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head, AND DROPS ROSETE TO THE CANVAS!  He is back up on his feet at 4.  Rosete now seems to have got his legs back.

Olin pivots to the left of his opponent.  Rosete is on target with a sharp cross.  Rosete throws a jab, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a VICIOUS cross.  ROSETE IS HURT!  Rosete quickly recovers.

Olin pivots to the side of his opponent and hits home with a sharp left hook.  
Rosete lands a left uppercut, right hook and a left uppercut to his opponents head.
