Ximen Baxa vs Jair Mathe

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Venezuela-Lara promoted show at Luis Toste Gym, Barquisimeto,  taking place on 02/03/2026:

Clearly AI Venezuela-Lara have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Venezuela-Lara Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Ximen Baxa (5 - 2 - 2) who hails from Barquisimeto, Venezuela and Jair Mathe(6 - 6 - 1) from Barquisimeto, Venezuela.  Baxa weighed in at 135 pounds, while Mathe weighed in at 134 pounds and 13 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Santiago Cardiel, and the three ringside judges are Gervasio Peno, Diego Penaloza and Carlos Porro.
