Will Chimbetu vs Trory Masakadza

Boxing Daily Report from the Harare Boxing Club promoted show at Harare Mnangagwa, Harare,  taking place on 03/04/2026:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Zimbabwe Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Joy TV, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Will Chimbetu (14 - 5) who hails from Bulawayo, Zimbabwe and Trory Masakadza(3 - 4) from Harare, Zimbabwe.  Chimbetu weighed in at 147 pounds, while Masakadza weighed in at 145 pounds and 15 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Michael Mangwende, and the three ringside judges are Chris Parirenyatwa, Lado Nkala and Kai Sithole.  

Round 1: 

Chimbetu advances into close range and hits home with a solid right hook.
