Ayanda Vilakazi vs Paul Ngassi

Boxing Daily Report from the AI South Africa-Gauteng promoted show at Gold Reef Entertainment Centre, Johannesburg,  taking place on 03/04/2026:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the South Africa-Gauteng Super Bantamweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on AIT Sports, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Ayanda Vilakazi (15 - 5 - 2) who hails from Soweto, South Africa and Paul Ngassi(12(3) - 0) from Johannesburg, South Africa.  Both Vilakazi and Ngassi weighed in at 122 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Luvolwethu Khumalo, and the three ringside judges are Amon Makwetla, Siphelele Nhlapo and Michael Karabaja.
