Elliot Nkandu vs Arnie Masheke

Boxing Daily Report from the Daduryan Promotions promoted show at Antwan Lunguzi Gym, Lusaka,  taking place on 01/04/2026:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Zambia-Lusaka Light Heavyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Elliot Nkandu (4 - 12) who hails from Lusaka, Zambia and Arnie Masheke(11(1) - 1) from Lusaka, Zambia.  Both Nkandu and Masheke weighed in at 175 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Mashawn Nkandu, and the three ringside judges are Ludacris Nana, Simba Lemba and Ben Chiputa.  

Round 1: 

Masheke gets on the inside and hits home with a left uppercut.  Masheke clinches his opponent.  Masheke pushes his forearm into Nkandu's face.  The referee warns Masheke and breaks the clinch.  
Masheke throws a left uppercut, but is unable to get through his opponents guard.  Masheke ties up his opponent.  Masheke is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.

Masheke throws a left hook, but his opponent parries the shot.  Masheke ties up his opponent.  Masheke is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Masheke cuts off the ring, trapping Nkandu in a corner.  Nkandu goes for the bodyshot, but lands south of the border!  The ref stops the action and gives Masheke time to recover.  
Masheke sidesteps to the left of his opponent and is on target with a left uppercut to Nkandu's body.
