Jens Manderscheid vs Wilmod Alms

Boxing Daily Report from the Jacob Howes promoted show at Jacob Gym, Munich,  taking place on 15/03/2026:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Jens Manderscheid (8 - 0) who hails from Duisburg, Germany and Wilmod Alms(6 - 11 - 1) from Frankfurt, Germany.  Both Manderscheid and Alms weighed in at 160 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Rodman Markt, and the three ringside judges are Arnald Peachey, Kiefer Lab and Einhardt Matzek.  

Round 1: 

Alms throws a left hook, but Manderscheid ties up his opponent.  Manderscheid is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. Manderscheid throws a hook within the clinch but hits his opponent behind the head. The referee separates the two fighters and warns Manderscheid.  
Manderscheid walks his opponent down, trapping him in a corner.  Manderscheid is on target with a left uppercut to Alms's ribs.  Manderscheid ties up his opponent.  Manderscheid is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Manderscheid.  
Alms throws a left hook, but Manderscheid clinches his opponent.  Manderscheid leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Manderscheid gets on the inside and lands two left hook's to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body.  
Alms tries to keep the action at long range.  Alms sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a cross.  
Manderscheid advances into close range.  Manderscheid sidesteps to the right of his opponent and drives a right hook into his opponents body.  
Manderscheid lands a left uppercut to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Alms sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Manderscheid lands a left hook.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Alms dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Alms steps away from his opponent and is on target with an overhand right.  
Alms is looking to keep his distance.  Manderscheid feints a right hook, but Alms ignores the feint and lands with a right uppercut to his opponents ribs.  
Manderscheid lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  
Manderscheid connects with a cross.  
Manderscheid closes the distance and hits home with a right uppercut.  
Alms sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Manderscheid attempts to land a jab, but Alms slips the shot and counters with a cross.  
Manderscheid advances into close range and is on target with a right hook to Alms's ribs.  Manderscheid clinches his opponent.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Manderscheid lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Alms's trainer is telling his fighter to increase his workrate.

Alms throws a left hook, but Manderscheid ties up his opponent.  Manderscheid is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks Manderscheid's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Manderscheid lands a right hook to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  Manderscheid has taken some damage from that accidental headbutt.  That has caused a slight cut above the right eye.  .
