Dave Hughson vs Gervasio Lara

Boxing Daily Report from the Smoking Joe promoted show at Bing Crosby Hall, San Diego,  taking place on 20/04/2026:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Dave Hughson (15(5) - 0 - 1) who hails from Oakland, USA and Gervasio Lara(16 - 5(1)) from Tipitapa, Nicaragua.  Hughson weighed in at 135 pounds, while Lara weighed in at 134 pounds and 12 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Waleed Naqvi, and the three ringside judges are Sam Hasson, Clint Grullon and Leon Lynn.
