Boxing Daily Report from the Smoking Joe promoted show at Bing Crosby Hall, San Diego,  taking place on 20/04/2026:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are John Lights Out Blair (17(12) - 0) who hails from Oakland, USA and Tajo Marta(11 - 4 - 1) from Santo Domingo Oeste, Dominican Republic.  Both Blair and Marta weighed in at 140 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Sam Hasson, and the three ringside judges are Waleed Naqvi, Clint Grullon and Leon Lynn.  

Round 1: 

Blair lands a jab.

Blair tries to land a left hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Blair pivots to the right of his opponent and connects with a sharp right hook.

Marta connects with a left hook.  Blair clinches his opponent.  Marta leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.
