Yoshi Kai vs Anupam Kari

Boxing Daily Report from the TFI promoted show at YMCA Club, Ahmedabad,  taking place on 27/03/2026:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Star Sports, the two fighters competing in this 4 round matchup are Yoshi Kai (1 - 0) who hails from Tokyo, Japan and Anupam Kari(4 - 3) from Hyderabad, India.  Both Kai and Kari weighed in at 118 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Waqar Shakoor, and the three ringside judges are Haider Nazimuddin, Zafa Firman and Haider Nazimuddin.  

Round 1: 

Kai feints a left, and then lands a straight 1 - 2.

Kai lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  He follows up the attack and lands a right uppercut to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Kari tries to land a cross, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a firm right uppercut.  
Kai is looking to keep the action on the outside and lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Kari closes the distance.  Kai drives a left hook into his opponents body.  
Kari walks Kai onto the ropes.  Kai digs in a right hook to Kari's ribcage.
