Boxing Daily Report from the AI New Zealand-Canterbury promoted show at Christchurch Cathey, Christchurch,  taking place on 06/04/2026:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the New Zealand-Canterbury Cruiserweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Michael Shanklin (8 - 8(1) - 3) who hails from Christchurch, New Zealand and Lewis Leslie(4 - 7 - 2) from Christchurch, New Zealand.
