Luis Maigue vs Venacio Alverez

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Philippines-Bulacan promoted show at San Jose del Monte Cedillo, San Jose del Monte,  taking place on 08/04/2026:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Philippines-Bulacan Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Luis Maigue (10 - 9 - 7) who hails from San Jose del Monte, Philippines and Venacio Alverez(10 - 0) from Malolos, Philippines.  Both Maigue and Alverez weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Berto Layumas, and the three ringside judges are Alano Berra, Montego Villalon and Montego Villalon.  

Round 1: 

Alverez closes the distance and drives a right hook into Maigue's body.  
Alverez pivots to the side of his opponent and is on target with a right hook to his opponents body.
