Garey Hanisch vs Rikkert Varant

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Austria-Styria promoted show at Graz Delius, Graz,  taking place on 12/04/2026:

Clearly AI Austria-Styria have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Austria-Styria Heavyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Garey Hanisch (13 - 3) who hails from Graz, Austria and Rikkert Varant(11 - 6(1)) from Graz, Austria.  Hanisch weighed in at 238 pounds and 14 ounces, while Varant weighed in at 232 pounds and 15 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Burnard George, and the three ringside judges are Con Rechbach, Uli Lange and Lothair Jasinska.
