An Ung vs Shinji Shimamoto

Boxing Daily Report from the Aidoo Promotions promoted show at Hiroshima Hiraoka, Hiroshima,  taking place on 18/04/2026:

Clearly Aidoo Promotions have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are An Ung (7(3) - 1) who hails from Qingdao, China and Shinji Shimamoto(2 - 0 - 6) from Kawasaki, Japan.  Ung weighed in at 140 pounds, while Shimamoto weighed in at 138 pounds and 15 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Yoshi Kawakami, and the three ringside judges are Yasushi Saito, Ichiro Otani and Nori Oye.  

Round 1:
