Thibaud Makoun vs Algernon Tayou

Boxing Daily Report from the Agbo Promotions promoted show at Yaoundé Endeley, Yaoundé,  taking place on 14/04/2026:

Clearly Agbo Promotions have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Cameroon-Centre Cruiserweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on CRTV, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Thibaud Makoun (14 - 1) who hails from Yaoundé, Cameroon and Algernon Tayou(14 - 4 - 7) from Yaoundé, Cameroon.  Makoun weighed in at 200 pounds, while Tayou weighed in at 199 pounds and 10 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Darrell Djone, and the three ringside judges are Carolus Papineau, Fabron Baudhuin and Ross Beaudin.
