Merrill Assale vs Franchot Nicolas

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Cameroon-Centre promoted show at Yaoundé Dauphin, Yaoundé,  taking place on 15/04/2026:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Cameroon Super Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on CRTV, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Merrill Assale (9 - 10(1) - 3) who hails from Garoua, Cameroon and Franchot Nicolas(13(2) - 6(5)) from Yaoundé, Cameroon.  Both Assale and Nicolas weighed in at 154 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Tyson Nguekam, and the three ringside judges are Bellamy Shaznay, Telford Dakeyo and Marin Mbuta.  

Round 1:
