Xayvion Sowah vs Essien Apea

Boxing Daily Report from the African Fusion promoted show at University of Western Cape Stadium, Cape Town,  taking place on 19/06/2026:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a final eliminator for the South Africa-Western Cape Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Xayvion Sowah (10 - 0) who hails from Khayelitsha, South Africa and Essien Apea(8 - 9 - 2) from Cape Town, South Africa.  Both Sowah and Apea weighed in at 126 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Laken Ako, and the three ringside judges are Xhosas Serero, Bongi Rantie and Madisha Mini.  

Round 1:
