Genjo Hian vs Lei Jou

Boxing Daily Report from the AI China-Hunan promoted show at Changsha Multi-Function Hall, Changsha,  taking place on 30/04/2026:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  On the line tonight is the China-Guangdong Heavyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Genjo Hian (7 - 1) who hails from Shenzhen, China and Lei Jou(6 - 4) from Dongguan, China.  Hian weighed in at 250 pounds And 1 ounces, while Jou weighed in at 242 pounds And 1 ounces.  
The referee tonight is An Chuang, and the three ringside judges are Woo Ang, Chen Hoo and Ming Su.  

Round 1: 

Hian feints a jab, and then is on target with a left hook.  
Hian closes the distance.  Hian sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a left hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents head.  
Jou sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Hian hits home with a cross.  
Hian advances into close range.  Jou is on target with a left hook.  Jou goes for the bodyshot, but lands south of the border!  The ref ignores Hian's complaints and signals for the action to continue.

As Jou tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  Hian has been damaged by that accidental headbutt.  That has caused slight swelling  around the right eye.
