Jane Van der Linde vs Napoleon Zungu

Boxing Daily Report from the Quick Tan Promotions promoted show at Ofosu-Ayeh Gym, Khayelitsha,  taking place on 03/04/2026:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Jane Van der Linde (2 - 0) who hails from Soshanguve, South Africa and Napoleon Zungu(1 - 2) from iBhayi, South Africa.  Both Van der Linde and Zungu weighed in at 126 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Runako Mashaba, and the three ringside judges are Laken Ako, Luvolwethu Nyatama and Bongi Rantie.  

Round 1: 

Van der Linde is looking to keep the action on the outside and connects with a cross.

The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  The two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.    That accidental headbutt has resulted in some damage to Zungu.  That has caused minor swelling  around the left eye.  
Van der Linde steps back and leans on the ropes with his guard up.  Zungu is whaling away with hooks, but Van der Linde keeps his defence tight.  Zungu connects with a left hook.
