Selestino Madero vs Granger Halimi

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Zambia-Copperbelt promoted show at Kitwe Mphepo, Kitwe,  taking place on 25/04/2026:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a tournament fight from Zambia-Copperbelt 2025 H2H.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on ZNBC, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Selestino Madero (7(1) - 0) who hails from Leon, Nicaragua and Granger Halimi(12 - 5 - 2) from Marseille, France.  Both Madero and Halimi weighed in at 118 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Denzel Silwimba, and the three ringside judges are Kadeem Muleta, Michael Bwanali and Phornello Hamabilo.  

Round 1: 

Halimi quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Madero is on target with a sharp left hook.  
Halimi is looking to keep his distance.  Madero lands a solid jab.  
Madero gets on the inside and lands a left hook to the body, a right hook to the head and a left uppercut to the head.  
Madero advances into close range and connects with a left hook.  
Halimi steps to the outside.  Madero lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Madero steps away from his opponent and hits home with a solid cross.  
Madero is on target with a right hook to Halimi's ribcage.  
Madero lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Halimi steps away from his opponent.  Madero finds the target with a jab.

Madero quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and connects with a cross.

Madero feints a right hook, and then lands a sharp jab.

Halimi is on target with a cross.  
Madero advances into close range and lands two right hooks to the body, and one to the head.  
Halimi steps to the outside.  Madero lands an overhand left followed by a cross to his opponents head.  
Madero sidesteps to the left of his opponent and digs in a sharp left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Madero gets on the inside and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Madero throws a left hook, but his opponent sidesteps.  Madero holds on to his opponent.  Madero leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. Madero is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.

Madero gets on the inside.  Madero pivots to the right of his opponent and lands three consecutive left hooks to his opponents head.  
Madero closes the distance.  Madero quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Halimi's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.  Halimi's trainer is advising how he could stop so many clean shots getting through.

Madero is looking to close the distance.  Madero thinks he can end the show early....he's looking to put Halimi away.  Madero DETONATES a CRUSHING right uppercut on his opponents face.  HALIMI HAS BEEN KNOCKED DOWN!  He beats the count, getting up at 9.  
Madero steps inside.  Madero senses a stoppage victory - he just needs the right shot.  Madero lands two straights followed by a right hook to his opponents head, AND DROPS HALIMI!  He tries to rise but his legs dont respond...the count reaches 10!  The winner by KO is Madero!
