Mark Munge vs Siraj Karayev

Boxing Daily Report from the Quick Tan Promotions promoted show at Ticketpro Dome, Johannesburg,  taking place on 25/04/2026:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Mark Munge (18(14) - 0) who hails from Machakos, Kenya and Siraj Karayev(18(13) - 7(7)) from Toshkent, Uzbekistan.  Both Munge and Karayev weighed in at 175 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Bernardus Hertzog, and the three ringside judges are Michael Grobbelaar, Here Van Heerden and Vuyisile Sekola.  

Round 1: 

Karayev lands a spiteful jab.  
Karayev is looking to keep the action on the outside and lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Munge is looking to close the distance and tries to land a right hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Karayev tries to keep the action at long range and connects with a firm overhand left.  
Munge tries to land a right uppercut, but Karayev sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut.  
Munge DETONATES a MASSIVE right hook on his opponents face.  KARAYEV WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  
Munge senses a stoppage victory - he just needs the right shot.  Munge lands a right uppercut, right hook and a left hook to his opponents head.  He follows up the attack and lands a left hook, right uppercut and a right hook to his opponents head.  The winner by KO is Munge!
