Carl Dunn vs Billy Gowens

Boxing Daily Report from the All Talk Promotions promoted show at All Gym, Dublin,  taking place on 01/04/2026:

Clearly All Talk Promotions have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 4 round matchup are Carl Dunn (0 - 0) who hails from Dun Laoghaire, Ireland and Billy Gowens(0 - 1(1)) from London, UK.  Both Dunn and Gowens weighed in at 112 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Leon Finnin, and the three ringside judges are Jason Orman, Brandon Madigan and Shane Cody.  

Round 1: 

Dunn lands a left hook.  Dunn tries to land a left hook, but Gowens blocks the shot and counters with a right hook.

Dunn gets on the inside and throws a right hook, but his opponent steps away from the shot.  Dunn clinches his opponent.  Dunn leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Dunn lands a cross to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Gowens is on target with a left hook.  
Dunn gets on the inside and lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  Dunn ties up his opponent.  The ref breaks Dunn's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Dunn closes the distance.  Dunn pivots to the side of his opponent and is on target with a right uppercut.  
Dunn sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Dunn tries to land a left hook, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a left uppercut to Dunn's liver.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Dunn's trainer is advising how he could improve the accuracy of his work.  Gowens's trainer is suggesting ways of getting through to his opponent.

Dunn is looking to close the distance and lands a right uppercut followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Dunn advances into close range and lands two left hooks followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Dunn closes the distance and manouvers Gowens onto the ropes.  Dunn lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Dunn is on target with a left hook.  
Dunn lands a right hook to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body.  
Dunn pivots from in front of his opponent.  Dunn is on target with a sharp left hook to Gowens's body.  Dunn attempts to land a left hook, but Gowens slips the shot and counters with a left hook to his opponents body.  
Dunn manouvers Gowens onto the ropes.  Dunn lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Dunn lands two consecutive right uppercuts to his opponents head.

Dunn is looking to close the distance.  Gowens throws a right hook, but Dunn holds on to his opponent.  Dunn leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Dunn lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  
Dunn drives a left hook into Gowens's ribs.  
Dunn gets on the inside.  Gowens pivots to the left of his opponent.  Dunn digs in a right hook to his opponents body.  
Dunn is looking to close the distance.  Dunn lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  As Dunn tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Gowens dabs at his face checking for damage.
