Ian Coleman vs Robert McRorie

Boxing Daily Report from the Big Bang Promotions promoted show at York Hall, London,  taking place on 12/04/2026:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 8 round matchup are Scouse Ian Coleman (16(9) - 0) who hails from Liverpool, UK and Robert McRorie(14 - 7(1) - 2) from London, UK.  Coleman weighed in at 139 pounds and 12 ounces, while McRorie weighed in at 140 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Fred Perry, and the three ringside judges are Gus Cruguet, Adam MacLaine and Mark Rhind.  

Round 1: 

Coleman feints a jab and triggers a right uppercut counter from McRorie.  Coleman avoids the shot and counters with a sharp left uppercut.

Coleman is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Coleman closes the distance.  Coleman pivots to the side of his opponent.  Coleman hits home with a sharp left hook.  Coleman clinches his opponent.  Coleman leans on his opponent using all his weight. As they grapple, Coleman pushes his forearm into McRorie's face.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
McRorie steps inside.  Coleman sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Coleman lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  Coleman ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, Coleman pushes his forearm into McRorie's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Coleman to stop fouling.  
Coleman closes the distance and is on target with a solid right hook to his opponents body.  Coleman clinches his opponent.  Coleman leans on his opponent using all his weight. Coleman uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits McRorie behind the head. The ref breaks Coleman's hold and signals for the fight to continue.

Coleman advances into close range.  Coleman leans back on the ropes...he waves his opponent in!  McRorie accepts the invitation, throwing powerful combos, but is unable to land anything on Coleman.

Coleman gets on the inside and lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  
Coleman is looking to close the distance and lands a left uppercut.  
Coleman lands a left hook to the head followed by a right uppercut to the body.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as McRorie dabs at his face checking for damage.    It looks like the clash of heads has caused some damage to McRorie.  That has caused slight swelling  around the left eye.
