Jay Obure vs Amon Kiongo

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Kenya-Nairobi promoted show at Nairobi Kiplagat, Nairobi,  taking place on 24/03/2026:

Clearly AI Kenya-Nairobi have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Kenya Super Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on KTV, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Jay Obure (14 - 7 - 1) who hails from Nairobi, Kenya and Amon Kiongo(13 - 4) from Nairobi, Kenya.  Obure weighed in at 168 pounds, while Kiongo weighed in at 167 pounds And 14 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Billy Tumbo, and the three ringside judges are Rob Birdi, Rehan Abed and Kashif Haque.  

Round 1:
