Mitsuru Uno vs Nao Taniguchi

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Japan-Aichi promoted show at Nagoya Okimoto, Nagoya,  taking place on 21/04/2026:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Japan-Aichi Bantamweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Sky-A Sports, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Mitsuru Uno (13 - 3 - 1(NC)) who hails from Kasugai, Japan and Nao Taniguchi(15 - 7 - 1) from Kasugai, Japan.  Uno weighed in at 118 pounds, while Taniguchi weighed in at 117 pounds And 8 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Daiki Onishi, and the three ringside judges are Daiki Onishi, Kenji Matsushima and Nao Sugiyama.
