Zack Ploch vs Rico Galindo

Boxing Daily Report from the Smoking Joe promoted show at Bing Crosby Hall, San Diego,  taking place on 11/05/2026:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Zack Ploch (6(1) - 0) who hails from New Orleans, USA and Rico Galindo(16 - 8(2) - 4) from Caracas, Venezuela.  Both Ploch and Galindo weighed in at 112 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Cody Bustamante, and the three ringside judges are Ethan Queen, Max Pont and Ben Banos.  

Round 1: 

Galindo tries to keep the action at long range and hits home with a cross.  
Ploch is on target with a right uppercut to Galindo's body.  
Ploch is looking to close the distance and is on target with a right hook to his opponents body.  
Ploch gets on the inside and connects with a right uppercut.  
Ploch steps inside.  Ploch pivots from in front of his opponent and lands a right hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Ploch lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Ploch lands a right hook to the body, a left hook to the head and a right hook to the head.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Ploch dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Ploch closes the distance.  Ploch sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Galindo throws a left hook, but Ploch clinches his opponent.  Ploch is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Ploch is looking to close the distance and drives a right uppercut into his opponents body.  
Galindo is on target with a left hook.  Ploch ties up his opponent.  Ploch is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Ploch to stop fouling.  
Ploch manouvers his opponent into the corner.  Ploch lands a firm left hook.  
Galindo throws a left uppercut, but is unable to get through his opponents guard.  Ploch clinches his opponent.  Ploch is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.

Ploch forces Galindo to back into the corner.  Ploch connects with a firm left hook.
