Xyshaun Kamel vs Davie Gichonga

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Kenya-Nakuru promoted show at Zach Masamba Gym, Naivasha,  taking place on 22/04/2026:

Clearly AI Kenya-Nakuru have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Kenya-Nakuru Heavyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Xyshaun Kamel (6 - 7 - 4) who hails from Naivasha, Kenya and Davie Gichonga(10 - 2) from Nakuru, Kenya.  Kamel weighed in at 228 pounds and 4 ounces, while Gichonga weighed in at 242 pounds and 4 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Jack Chepchumba, and the three ringside judges are Ibrahim Halaby, Kwamin Shaheen and Atif Ghazal.
