Desiderio Mathias vs Emanuel Gascon

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Mexico-Distrito Federal promoted show at Mexico City Villaflor, Mexico City,  taking place on 26/03/2026:

Clearly AI Mexico-Distrito Federal have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Mexico-Distrito Federal Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Desiderio Mathias (5 - 8 - 5) who hails from Mexico City, Mexico and Emanuel Gascon(7 - 13(1) - 2) from Mexico City, Mexico.  Mathias weighed in at 134 pounds and 9 ounces, while Gascon weighed in at 135 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Alejandro Vasquez, and the three ringside judges are Larenzo Calvillo, Rodrigo Parras and Manuel Modesto.
