Algernon Obekop vs Richard Affleck

Boxing Daily Report from the Montreal's Top Gym promoted show at Pavillon de Juenesse, Quebec City,  taking place on 03/04/2026:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Super Channel, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Algernon Obekop (2(1) - 0) who hails from Garoua, Cameroon and Richard Affleck(6 - 4 - 2) from London, Canada.  Obekop weighed in at 223 pounds and 1 ounces, while Affleck weighed in at 249 pounds and 6 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Bruce Hathorne, and the three ringside judges are Aaron Henry, Johnny Smith and Jean-Baptiste Camus.

Obekop gets on the inside and lands a right hook to the head, a left hook to the body and a left hook to the head.  
Obekop lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  Obekop throws a right hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Obekop walks his opponent down, trapping him on the ropes.  Obekop is on target with a right uppercut.  
Obekop advances into close range and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  He follows up the attack and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head. It looks like the clash of heads has caused some damage to Affleck.  That has caused slight swelling  around the right eye.
