Giomar Gessel vs Othmann Brandt

Boxing Daily Report from the Die Ring-Generäle promoted show at Sartory Saele, Cologne,  taking place on 02/05/2026:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Sky Sport Deutschland, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are German Giomar Gessel (17 - 10) who hails from Nuremberg, Germany and Othmann Brandt(12 - 6 - 4) from Dusseldorf, Germany.  Gessel weighed in at 126 pounds, while Brandt weighed in at 125 pounds and 11 ounces.  
The referee tonight is William Piel, and the three ringside judges are Alarick Gause, Ferdinand Schellinger and Ramond Matern.

The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.    That accidental headbutt has resulted in some damage to Brandt.  That has caused slight swelling  around the right eye.
