Boxing Daily Report from the AI Iran-East Azerbaijan promoted show at Tabriz Muradov, Tabriz,  taking place on 28/04/2026:

Clearly AI Iran-East Azerbaijan have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a final eliminator for the Iran-East Azerbaijan Super Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Irfan Yacoub (11(1) - 4) who hails from Tabriz, Iran and Waqas Askerov(6 - 0) from Tabriz, Iran.  Both Yacoub and Askerov weighed in at 140 pounds.
