Quito Botello vs Rodrigo Lago

Boxing Daily Report from the Ondoa Promotions promoted show at Nicandro Bea Gym, Montevideo,  taking place on 02/04/2026:

Clearly Ondoa Promotions have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Uruguay-Montevideo Super Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Quito Botello (5 - 10 - 1) who hails from Montevideo, Uruguay and Rodrigo Lago(7(1) - 2) from Montevideo, Uruguay.  Both Botello and Lago weighed in at 168 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Montego Civil, and the three ringside judges are Juan Polino, Carlos Jiminez and Diego Chirinos.  

Round 1: 

Lago advances into close range.  Lago quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and digs in a right uppercut to Botello's body.
